We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Automotive Bookkeeper to join our team at an automotive repair shop. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, managing accounts, and supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, good organizational skills, and experience with bookkeeping or accounting.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate daily financial and accounting records.
  • Record and reconcile sales, payments, deposits, and expenses.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Prepare and send customer invoices and statements.
  • Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on unpaid accounts.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card transactions.
  • Enter and maintain vendor invoices and payment records.
  • Process payroll information and maintain employee records as needed.
  • Track shop expenses, parts purchases, labor costs, and other operating expenses.
  • Assist with monthly financial reports and account reconciliations.
  • Maintain organized digital and physical financial records.
  • Work with management, vendors, and customers regarding billing and payment questions.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial and customer information.
  • Perform other administrative and bookkeeping duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Previous bookkeeping, accounting, or financial administrative experience preferred.
  • Experience in an automotive repair or service environment is a plus.
  • Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation.
  • Experience with Quick Books or similar accounting software preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and email.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential financial information.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Location: On-Site
