This Tax Associate role is crucial for assisting clients by applying tax theories and laws, directly contributing to their financial accuracy and compliance while supporting an engagement team of diverse professionals.

What You’ll Actually Do
  • Prepare Tax Returns:
    Work on a variety of client deliverables including the preparation of tax returns for Individuals, Partnerships, and Corporations.
  • Identify Tax Issues:
    Identify potential tax issues and prepare tax adjusting entries and tax trial balances based on audited or client-provided trial balances.
  • Research Requirements:
    Research filing requirements and tax issues using internal revenue code, treasury regulations, and other relevant authorities or guidance.
  • Manage Client Workflow:
    Manage daily client workflow and multiple client projects at any given time to ensure timely completion.
  • Draft Memorandums:
    Draft tax technical memorandums to document research and conclusions.
The Must-Haves
  • Background:
    Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting, with a plan to complete 150 credit hours to be eligible for CPA licensure.
  • Experience:

    Prior work or internship experience is required, with experience in accounting considered a plus.
  • Skills:

    Exhibit excellent communication skills, demonstrate sharp critical thinking, possess advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint, and be eager to learn new technologies.
  • Bonus:
    Minimum GPA of 3.2 in both major and overall coursework, and leadership positions in extracurricular activities are preferred.
