Genworth is seeking an Accounting Manager, Investment Accounting to lead financial reporting and controls for our investment portfolios supporting insurance and annuity products. In this role, you will oversee GAAP and STAT reporting, reconciliations, and analytics for complex fixed income and other investments, partnering closely with investment, finance, and risk teams. You will manage and develop a small team, drive process improvements, and support audits and regulatory exams, contributing to Genworth's mission of long-term financial security for families.
Responsibilities
- Lead investment accounting close, reporting, and analysis for insurance portfolios
- Ensure GAAP/STAT compliance and maintain strong internal controls
- Oversee investment account reconciliations and valuations
- Partner with investment, finance, and risk teams on portfolio results
- Prepare management reports and variance analyses
- Support audits, exams, and regulatory filings
- Drive process improvements and automation in investment accounting
- Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff
