Full-Charge Bookkeeper

Job Description

Axcex Media LLC is seeking an experienced, dependable Full-Charge Bookkeeper to manage the complete bookkeeping cycle for our growing organization.

This is not an entry-level bookkeeping or basic data-entry position. The successful candidate must understand how transactions flow through the accounting system and be capable of independently maintaining accurate financial records from beginning to end.

Responsibilities

• Manage the complete bookkeeping cycle using Quick Books Online
• Maintain accurate records for multiple business entities
• Reconcile bank, credit-card, loan, and other balance-sheet accounts
• Process accounts payable and schedule vendor payments
• Make and properly record credit-card and loan payments
• Create customer invoices and manage accounts receivable
• Receive and correctly apply customer payments, including credit-card payments
• Monitor outstanding receivables and assist with collections
• Maintain vendor records and resolve billing discrepancies
• Record payroll activity and reconcile payroll-related accounts
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries
• Maintain accurate job-costing records
• Record and reconcile intercompany transactions
• Complete monthly and year-end closing procedures
• Produce accurate profit-and-loss statements, balance sheets, cash-flow reports, and aging reports
• Maintain organized supporting documentation
• Assist with audits, financing requests, and acquisition-related accounting
• Coordinate with company management, outside CPAs, payroll providers, and other financial professionals
• Identify discrepancies and correct accounting errors promptly
• Help improve accounting procedures and internal controls

Required Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Quick Books Online
• Thorough understanding of the complete bookkeeping and accounting cycle
• Demonstrated experience with bank and credit-card reconciliations
• Experience managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
  
  Ability to prepare and review financial statements
• Understanding of debits, credits, journal entries, accruals, and balance-sheet accounts
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to organize priorities and meet monthly deadlines
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of the company’s books
• Strong Excel and general computer skills
• High level of discretion when handling confidential financial information

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ERPNext
• Experience with job costing
• Experience supporting construction, electrical, telecommunications, or other project-based businesses
• Experience managing the books for multiple related entities
• Experience with intercompany transactions
• Experience assisting with acquisitions or integrating newly acquired businesses
• Accounting or bookkeeping degree, certification, or equivalent professional experience
