Accounting Associate

Riverside Logistics is looking for an Accounting Associate. Someone who projects a positive and professional image at all times and conducts all business in a friendly, courteous and knowledgeable manner, performs a variety of accounting/bookkeeping functions in support of the Accounting Department’s Mission, and produces and provides information allowing the company to operate in an efficient and effective fashion.

Someone who projects a positive and professional image at all times and conducts all business in a friendly, courteous and knowledgeable manner, performs a variety of accounting/bookkeeping functions in support of the Accounting Department’s Mission, and produces and provides information allowing the company to operate in an efficient and effective fashion.

• Ensures the Vision, Mission and Values of the company are the guiding principles of daily business practices
• Performs payroll and associated functions
• Performs customer invoice functions for Transportation / Brokerage services
• Posts customer invoice payments
• Performs filing duties as needed
• Provide backup assistance to accounting team members as needed
• Ensures sensitive and confidential information is managed in accordance with company policy

• High school Diploma or equivalent required, college course work or certificate in a related field preferred
• Experience with HRIS/Payroll Systems such as Paylocity
• Experience with cloud-based accounting software such as SAGE
• Three to five years’ experience processing accounting functions utilizing an electronic platform
• Demonstrate effective analytical skills to produce and interpret data for reporting purposes
• Previous experience in Transportation / Brokerage Industry preferred
• Demonstrate proficiency in the use of MS Office, e.g. Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills
