Cherry Bekaert Recruiting & Staffing is partnering with a well-established and growing organization in the Richmond area seeking a Staff Accountant to join its corporate accounting team. This hybrid opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional looking to expand their experience in month-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting while working in a collaborative corporate environment.

This role offers exposure to a broad range of accounting functions and provides strong visibility across the finance organization.

• Prepare and post journal entries
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
• Maintain accurate general ledger records
• Support financial reporting and management reporting requirements
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed
• Support audit requests and documentation preparation
• Identify process improvement opportunities and support accounting initiatives

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Corporate accounting experience strongly preferred
• Understanding of GAAP and accounting fundamentals
• Experience with ERP systems such as Net Suite, SAP, Oracle, Workday, or similar
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
