Insight Global is seeking a Senior Accountant for a top public sector client.

This role provides accounting services, financial management, and reporting in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Incumbents serve as designated subject matter experts, performing complex finance, statistical, and accounting functions and exercising supervision over paraprofessional work units (including but not limited to accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and cash handling). As assigned, work may include reconciling transactions; performing analysis; preparing complex reports;

preparing financial reports; maintaining reports and records; serving as a liaison with outside vendors; performing complex calculations; financial budget and forecasting; maintaining financial controls, and ensuring accuracy of payments and disbursements.

As assigned, incumbents may supervise paraprofessional and support level staff including conducting performance evaluations, coordinating training, and implementing hiring, discipline, and termination procedures. Incumbents may also serve as lead workers, assigning work and monitoring work completion.
