Job DutiesPerforms professional level work of moderate difficulty requiring the application of accounting theory and principles. Characteristic duties: develop methods of recording fiscal transactions, allocate funds, update and maintain accounting systems, independently prepare financial statements/reports/cost analyses, and develop and present budgets and other financial information for review. Other major duties: all functions of compensation accounting including assuring timely processing of payrolls, distribution of checks, preparing federal/state tax reporting, fringe benefits and premium conversion.
May supervise or lead fiscal paraprofessionals and/or other support personnel.
This is a restricted position, which is solely funded by the DWSRF- 4% Set aside for October 2026 period ending . The availability of funding is scheduled for review annually and periodically thereafter. Continued employment is contingent on the continued availability of funds.

Minimum Qualifications- Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and practices including cost accounting.
- Knowledge of the use of data processing techniques in maintaining accounting records.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to apply and adapt established accounting methods to a variety of financial transactions and records and multiple funding streams.
- Demonstrated ability to design and compile financial reports and statements.
