Job Description
This position primarily provides administrative and technical data management to the business and media programs. This is a restricted position. Continued employment is contingent on the availability of grant or non-general funds. Please note this position follows a hybrid work schedule to include both in-office and telework. Candidates must be able to work from the assigned work location in Virginia.
Hiring Range: $44,192 to $61,061
Full Time or Part Time: FULL TIME
Responsibilities- Performing records management to include analyzing and managing data integrity and performing quality assurance and control.
- Provides effective customer service and effective communication in writing and verbally to internal and external parties.
- Supports program management activities.
- May perform a variety of high level administrative and business tasks as assigned. May assist with technical program specific tasks.
- Combination of education, training, or experience in project and data management.
- Knowledge of applicable administrative, business, and program functions.
- Demonstrated skills in information and documentation management, use of Microsoft applications and other database applications.
- Demonstrated ability to collect, record, interpret, and manage data in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with the public, peers, and co-workers effectively and professionally.
- Demonstrated knowledge of business and media functions and procedures and ability to perform all duties accurately and independently.
- Ability to organize work in a manner that assures processing and accomplishment of priority items are completed on a schedule.
The Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is the primary environmental permitting agency in the Commonwealth of Virginia. It is responsible for administering laws and regulations related to air quality, water quality, water supply, renewable energy, and land protection. Through the dedication and work of over 800 employees across six regional offices and the Central Office in Richmond, DEQ issues permits, conducts monitoring and inspections, and enforces the law.
