A family-owned Richmond business known for producing premium frozen desserts and delivering exceptional customer experiences is seeking an Office Assistant to support daily office operations. The team values collaboration, feedback, and individuals who take initiative to help the business run smoothly.

About the Role

The Office Assistant will provide front desk support and administrative assistance across the organization. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, professional, customer-focused, and enjoys helping create an efficient and welcoming office environment.

Typical hours are approximately 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with flexibility on days and scheduling. The office is open until 4:00 PM, so flexibility is preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer incoming phone calls and respond to routine inquiries
  • Greet visitors and provide front desk support
  • Manage filing systems and maintain organized records
  • Update paperwork, maintain documents, and perform word processing tasks
  • Collect receipts, scan documents, and support recordkeeping efforts
  • Sort and distribute mail
  • Order office supplies and maintain inventory
  • Organize travel accommodations and reservations as needed
  • Assist with event coordination and office activities
  • Maintain office equipment and common areas
  • Create, update, and enter information into databases
  • Provide general administrative support as needed
  • Run occasional office errands
Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of experience supporting a professional office environment
  • At least 2 years of experience in a customer-focused role
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
  • Professional, friendly, and service-oriented demeanor
  • Proficiency with common office software and administrative tasks
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hospitality industry experience
  • Front desk or reception experience
  • Experience supporting office operations or administrative functions
