Job Overview
The Richmond Behavioral Health Authority (RBHA) is seeking a General Services Associate to join the General Services team.
This incumbent will perform technical work supervising and managing facility maintenance; building security; safety; parking; housekeeping services; and RBHA property. The role involves maintaining and tracking vehicle and property information in fleet and FMX software systems; assigning fleet vehicles to employees; supervising housekeeping and security employees; and related duties as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the general direction of the General Services Manager.
Responsibilities- Assist with receptionist duties: greet visitors, answer telephone, provide information, and forward calls to appropriate parties.
- Maintain authority vehicle records: insurance, registrations, safety, auctioning, replacement vehicles, repairs, and fuel cards.
- Assist with small purchase credit cards and code invoices.
- Maintain and track the fleet database, including mileage, maintenance, washing, keys, fuel cards, and parking assignments.
- Maintain facility operations, building security, facilities maintenance, software, and safety systems.
- Manage parking for employees and fleet.
- Assist with housekeeping services and security services.
- Back up other office associates and lobby receptionist.
- Manage capital projects involving building renovations, painting, and furniture installation.
- Collect and compile statistical data to prepare monthly reports.
- Maintain vendor contact list, including company listings, email addresses, and websites.
Skills and Abilities
- General knowledge of proper English and spelling.
- Ability to answer inquiries and assist the general public courteously.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, law enforcement, medical personnel, clients, and the general public.
- Knowledge of cleaning practices, supplies, and equipment with efficient use.
- Knowledge of fleet maintenance management.
- Knowledge of standard office procedures, practices, and equipment.
- Ability to operate a variety of office and data processing equipment.
- Ability to plan and manage the work assigned.
- Ability to perform arithmetical computations quickly and accurately.
- High school diploma or GED and moderate experience in fleet and facility maintenance, including some supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Regular exertion of up to 50 pounds of force; frequent 25 pounds; occasional 20 pounds; up to 10 pounds frequently; negligible constant force.
- Work requires stooping, walking, sitting, speaking or hearing, using hands, reaching with arms; occasional repetitive motions.
- No special vision requirements; vocal communication required.
- Hearing required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels.
- No exposure to environmental conditions; moderate noise level (e.g., office).
- Valid driver’s license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
