Special Programs Coordinator

The Supreme Court of Virginia, Office of the Executive Secretary (OES), is seeking a highly qualified individual to assist with the administration of the Virginia Judicial Performance Evaluation (JPE) Program. This salaried, full‑time position is based in Richmond and offers a competitive benefits package.

Responsibilities

Assist with the administration of the Virginia Judicial Performance Evaluation (JPE) Program, including coordination of program activities, maintenance of program calendars, preparation of a high volume of communication documents (memos, letters, emails), and liaising with elected and appointed officials as needed. Demonstrate flexibility and problem‑solving abilities to adjust or prioritize schedules based on last‑minute changes.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4‑year college or university is preferred; professional experience in judicial administration in Virginia courts or OES is highly desirable.
  • Significant experience using Microsoft Word, Excel (proficient with data analysis), Access (including user interface knowledge), and Adobe applications.
  • Ability to plan, organize, manage, and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience preparing high volumes of communication documents including memos, letters, and emails.
  • Strong program calendar management skills.
  • Flexibility and problem‑solving abilities to adjust or prioritize schedules based on last‑minute changes.
  • Teamwork and effective collaboration with elected and appointed officials.
  • Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and effective communication skills.
  • Excellent writing skills and attention to detail.
