Job Summary
The Office of Student Success in the VCU College of Health Professions is seeking a full‑time Student Success Program Coordinator. The position reports to the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and Student Success.
Responsibilities- Create and support ongoing co‑curricular and community building programming and milestone events (e.g., orientation, commencement).
- Manage event logistics – room scheduling, Zoom links, registration, food ordering, post‑event assessment.
- Promote events via flyers, message boards, Axis TV system, and across CHP.
- Assist with orientation (room reservation, Canvas population, module completion monitoring, food and swag, Zoom moderation, RSVP/forms, feedback survey).
- Oversee the CHP Alumni Mentoring Program – coordinate mentors and mentees, track requests, conduct feedback surveys, organize engagement events.
- Support other Student Success initiatives such as the Student Emergency Fund and the bi‑annual Student Satisfaction Survey.
- Provide administrative support for the Associate Dean – calendar management, travel, professional memberships, scholarship selection, academic program review, records management, and other assigned initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Experience as an administrative assistant.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a diverse environment.
- Professional interaction with diverse customers (students, alumni, faculty, staff, visitors).
- Customer‑service orientation, ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive.
- Experience operating office equipment and technology.
- Attention to detail, analytical, communication, problem‑solving, organizational, interpersonal, and proofreading skills.
- Commitment to fostering a respectful, professional, and civil environment for all.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1‑2 years of administrative/office support experience.
- Experience in higher education.
$45,000+ (commensurate with experience).
