Short Description

Bowman has an opportunity for a Right of Way Technician to join our team remotely.

Purpose

Provide reporting, document preparation, and administrative support services to the Right of Way project team.

Responsibilities
  • Perform work under direct supervision and follow established procedures and clearly defined processes, ensuring thorough review by senior staff.
  • Assist Right of Way Agents and Project Managers in preparing documents such as easements, letters, proposals, work orders, change orders, sub‑consultant agreements, and transmittals, and processing them in the workflow system.
  • Enter and update project and parcel information daily in the database and project tracking reports.
  • Research property records and download deeds, easements, judgments, liens, assessment cards, plats, and maps from online county resources.
  • Use online resources to determine status of corporations and officers/agents, and research contact information for parcel owners.
  • Utilize mail merge to generate mass mailing documents and correspondence, print documents, and prepare packages for mailing.
  • Maintain electronic and paper data filing systems; upload and file necessary records.
  • Compose and edit correspondence in Word and create and maintain spreadsheets in Excel.
  • Administer incoming phone calls and ensure calls are redirected accordingly.
  • Receive, sort, and forward incoming mail; prepare outgoing mail and correspondence, and coordinate pickup and delivery of express mail services.
  • Maintain conference room areas and control inventory of supplies for the right‑of‑way team.
  • Perform administrative duties such as coding documents, copying, binding, collating, scanning, filing, and data entry.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent GED required; relevant experience considered.
  • Entry‑level position with no prior experience required; any administrative or title research/review experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Satisfactory driving record and current valid state driver’s license.
  • Ability to obtain Notary Public certification (company paid).
  • Professional real estate license in applicable state or ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire.
Physical Demands and Working Environment
  • May be subject to pre‑employment and/or random drug screening.
  • Primarily indoor professional office environment with potential for bright/dim light, noise, fumes, odors, and traffic.
  • Mobility around an office environment.
  • Frequent and prolonged use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
  • Occasional lifting or carrying up to 20 pounds.
  • Occasional pushing or pulling up to 20 pounds.
  • Occasional reaching outward or above shoulder.
