ResponsibilitiesThe Administrative and Office Specialist provides administrative support for the Human Resources office and manages the daily workflow of the office. This role supports multiple projects and manages changing priorities. Duties include greeting staff, faculty, students, and administrators entering the Human Resources office with a friendly, welcoming reception; procuring supplies; maintaining files; assisting with new hire onboarding; and answering general HR questions about benefits, payroll, and related matters.
SpecialAssignments
May be required to perform other duties as assigned and assist the agency or state government in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
Qualifications- High school graduate or equivalent
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Knowledgeable of current office practices and Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Google Suite
- Knowledge of procurement processes and budget management
- Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain working relationships with a diverse population
- Strong organizational and technological skills
- Familiar with higher education framework and college coursework
- HR knowledge/experience
