Program Support Technician Senior: Offender Management Services #00747

This senior-level administrative role supports the Virginia Department of Corrections by determining intake status and eligibility for prisoners in state jails and ensuring timely transfer of eligible felons to DOC facilities. The position requires detailed review and analysis of criminal records, coordination with jail systems, and knowledge of Virginia criminal justice procedures and inmate classification protocols. The role is based at DOC Headquarters in Richmond and reports to Central Administration.

• High school diploma or equivalent and prior office experience
• Progressive responsibility in criminal justice field with knowledge of criminal justice processes and inmate classification
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel with ability to perform detailed criminal record analysis
• Demonstrated ability to collect, organize information, and process high-volume work while meeting deadlines
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and strong verbal and written communication skills
• Prior experience with inmate intake from jails and familiarity with Virginia CORIS preferred
