Job Description:Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia’s capital city and five nearby counties. Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. The Administrative and Procurement Support Technician provides procurement, purchasing, reporting, inventory, and limited administrative support for the School of Health Professions. The position is responsible for coordinating purchasing activities in compliance with VCCS, Commonwealth of Virginia, and institutional regulations, including managing requisitions, purchase orders, vendor communications, receiving documentation, procurement records, and related transactions through eVA and other applicable systems. The role prepares procurement, budget, inventory, and operational reports for leadership;
supports procurement audits and compliance activities; and collaborates closely with the college's Fixed Assets Coordinator to facilitate asset tracking, inventory control, equipment tagging, surplus processes, and fixed asset reporting. Limited administrative support is provided as needed, including records management, clerical assistance, communication support, and backup office coverage during staff absences or periods of increased operational demand.
- Associate degree in business administration, accounting, procurement, public administration, office administration, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Experience providing procurement, purchasing, accounting, administrative, or operational support.
- Experience utilizing eVA or similar electronic procurement systems.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrated ability to manage detailed records and maintain accuracy in financial transactions.
- Ability to successfully complete all required VCCS, college, and Commonwealth procurement training within established time frames.
