Job DutiesProvides general services technician support for the assigned Office or District in accordance with applicable policies and procedures. May support fleet operations through vehicle care and records management. Will assist with general services tasks, to include application processing for building access, parking assignments, and front desk operations. May support surplus property program by coordinating efforts and responding to inquiries. Delivers exceptional customer service, demonstrates strong problem-solving skills, and frequently interacts with internal and external stakeholders.
May also serve as an information resource to staff in other offices or districts.
- 1. Documented critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- 2. Experience and ability to work independently with little to no supervision
- 3. Documented ability to prioritize tasks and meet due dates
- 4. Experience with hand tools to make minor repairs
- 5. Ability to move office furniture and equipment while following design requirements and Virginia Safety Codes.
- 6. Documented ability to understand and apply the logic and skills to handle and distribute mail while following confidentiality guidelines and policies.
- 7. Strong oral and written communication skills using various mediums, such as email, Microsoft Teams, agency memos, etc.
- 8. Documented ability to work well with others and to provide excellent customer service
- Basic computer skills
- 9. Computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, One Drive, Teams, Outlook, etc.), Adobe, Internet, Digital file management programs, etc.
- 10. Ability to safely and independently move and manipulate heavy equipment, packages, furniture, and other heavy items with little to no assistance.
- 11. Valid State Driver's License to operate a vehicle while conducting business for the agency
