Automotive Mechanic/Technician

Aero Industries currently has an immediate opportunity for an Automotive Mechanic/Technician to maintain our company's fleet of vehicles. We're a family-owned company that has operated for almost 80 years. We are seeking positive, qualified candidates to join the Aero Industries family!

Location: Richmond International Airport in Sandston.

• Performs a full range of skilled automotive repair work, such as minor tune-ups, electrical system servicing, and engine overhauls.
• Inspects automotive equipment to determine the corrective action necessary.
• Repairs automotive, trucks, and GSE airline equipment (Gas and Diesel).
• Estimates the cost of automotive repairs.
• Instructs operators in the proper operation and servicing of their equipment.
• Operates and maintains automotive shop equipment.
• Performs minor welding and brazing work.
• Keeps records and creates reports pertaining to repairs performed.
• The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.

• Experience working with airline GSE equipment is highly recommended.
• ASE certification is recommended but not required.
• Heavy equipment experience preferred.
• Diesel engine experience required.
• Pneumatic systems knowledge preferred.

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a complete set of tools and a toolbox.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have a clean background to clear airport security requirements.
• Must demonstrate a good attitude and great work ethic.
