Position Overview

As an
Automotive Parts Advisor
at Mercedes Benz of Richmond
, you will play a vital role in our parts department, ensuring that our customers and service technicians receive the correct parts in a timely manner. This position requires a knowledgeable, detail-oriented professional who can provide exceptional service, whether assisting customers directly or working behind the scenes to manage inventory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist customers and service technicians in locating the correct automotive parts and accessories.
  • Provide accurate pricing information and availability of parts to customers.
  • Process customer orders and ensure timely delivery of parts.
  • Maintain and manage inventory levels, ensuring parts are stocked and organized.
  • Communicate with suppliers to order parts, track shipments, and resolve any supply issues.
  • Use dealership management software (DMS) to check parts availability, input orders, and manage inventory.
  • Assist in the preparation of parts estimates and quotes for customers.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Keep the parts department clean, organized, and stocked with the necessary tools and resources.
  • Collaborate with the service department to ensure all necessary parts are available for scheduled repairs and maintenance.
  • Stay up-to-date with product knowledge and industry trends to better assist customers and service technicians.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience as a Parts Advisor in the automotive industry is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive parts and accessories, including Mercedes Benz vehicles.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and manage time efficiently.
  • Proficient in using dealership management software (DMS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to lift and handle parts and materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
