JOB SUMMARY:
The primary function of the Warranty Administrator is to oversee all OEM warranty claims and collect all necessary information, and parts from customers and employees.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
:
- Maintain working understanding of all warranty policies and procedures
- Communicate with vendors on a regular and as-needed basis to discuss all warranty claims and inventory procedures
- Research Warranty Coverage for customers and service department
- Issue warranty credits on repair orders and file warranty claims to completion
- Organize and take inventory of warranty parts/cores daily
- Ship or return parts/cores to suppliers
QUALIFICATIONS
:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
- Two years’ experience in general office position
- Organizational and time management skills a must
- Excellent communication skills
- Good attitude and willingness to work as a team
- Must be a hard worker, self-motivated and detail oriented
- Good Work Ethics
- Some Knowledge of heavy truck automotive and engine parts
- Excel and Microsoft Word Experience
- Excellent Typing skills
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- This position involves both sedentary and physically demanding work.
- For part of the shift, s/he will work at a desk in an office setting, doing paperwork, and filing.
- For part of the shift, s/he will climb stairs, climb in and out of vehicles, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach, moving about the dealership facility to communicate with managers, employees and customers.
- Will be exposed to noise, dust, exhaust fumes and a variety of other hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted on a regular basis.
