Senior Product Manager, Owners & Funds

CoStar Group is a leading global provider of commercial and residential real estate information, analytics, and online marketplaces. This role focuses on owning and evolving the CoStar Owner Module, a flagship product that brings together complex commercial real estate data into a unified experience for owners, investors, brokers, and lenders.

Location:

Richmond, VA (in-office, Monday through Friday).

Responsibilities
  • Own and continuously refine the product strategy for CoStar’s Owner Module, aligning with corporate priorities and customer needs across Investors, Owners/Developers, Brokers, and Lenders.
  • Define and manage roadmap themes such as owner search improvements, expanded portfolio analytics, related companies and fund transparency, leadership/contact visibility, listings integration, transaction intelligence, requirements and international portfolio support.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and differentiate the Owner Module through depth, accuracy, and connectivity of data.
  • Engage regularly with customers—owners, investors, brokers, lenders, and institutional stakeholders—to gather feedback, validate needs, and translate insights into product direction.
  • Leverage usage analytics, Pendo guides, research insights, and customer feedback channels to guide prioritization.
  • Partner with Sales to understand persona-specific use cases and pain points.
  • Lead cross-functional teams (Engineering, Research, UX) to deliver high-quality features such as search filters, portfolio maps, disposition and acquisition analytics, tenant mix, related funds, and enhanced ownership hierarchy transparency.
  • Define detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria informed by the Owner Playbook and the needs of each persona.
  • Collaborate with Research to ensure property-, transaction-, and ownership-level data is accurate, timely, and complete, including upcoming expansions (e.g., UK multifamily, international portfolio integration).
  • Partner with Training, Sales, and Marketing to create and deliver product education—including decks, pitch hooks, FABs, discovery questions, and use cases.
  • Support product launches including internal enablement, beta programs, and external client communications.
  • Ensure sales teams have the right messaging to demonstrate value across personas (Owners, Investors, Brokers, Lenders) and articulate how the Owner Module addresses industry challenges.
  • Track product performance using Pendo dashboards and usage data to identify adoption drivers and friction points.
  • Measure outcomes based on customer value, revenue impact, retention, and product utilization.
  • Iterate quickly based on feedback from clients, sales teams, and internal research teams.
Basic Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited, not-for-profit university or college.
  • 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in B2B SaaS, data products, analytics platforms, or CRE technology.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with large datasets, data models, and complex information architectures.
  • Strong collaboration skills and experience partnering with technical teams and research/data teams.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex concepts into business value.
  • Experience with customer discovery, persona-driven product design, and data-driven prioritization.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and drive clarity in ambiguous environments.
  • A track record of commitment to prior employers.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Deep familiarity with the commercial real estate ecosystem: owners, developers, investors, brokers, and lenders.
  • Experience with property-level datasets, transaction data, public records, REIT structures, fund hierarchies, or CRE analytics platforms.
  • Prior experience building search/filtering interfaces, portfolio analytics dashboards, or workflow tools.
  • Experience supporting global product expansions and navigating country-specific data variations.
Benefits
  • Comprehensive healthcare coverage:
    Medical, Vision, Dental, Prescription Drug.
  • Life, legal, and supplementary insurance.
  • Commuter and parking benefits.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with matching contributions.
  • Employee stock purchase plan.
  • Paid time off.
  • Tuition reimbursement.
  • On-site fitness center and/or reimbursed fitness center membership costs (location dependent).
  • Complimentary gourmet coffee, tea, hot chocolate, prepared foods, fresh fruit, and other healthy snacks.
