Role Overview

Construction Project Lead is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of corporate real estate projects, from initial space planning through project completion and occupancy. This role requires a hands‑on leader with expertise in design and construction, who is directly accountable for managing projects, budgets, schedules, and outcomes—not simply supporting or executing delegated tasks. The position is fully office‑based with travel as needed to support active projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead space planning and programming efforts for new and renovated office environments
  • Review lease documents, including work letters and construction‑related provisions, to ensure alignment with project scope and financial expectations
  • Develop test fits and design concepts either independently or by managing external architectural and design consultants
  • Source, engage, and manage general contractors (GCs), including bidding and contract negotiation
  • Oversee the preparation and review of construction drawings, including incremental progress sets
  • Direct all phases of construction, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards
  • Maintain full ownership of project budgets, including tracking tenant improvement (TI) allowances and overall project financials
  • Provide regular reporting on project status, risks, and financial performance
  • Coordinate closely with internal stakeholders, including AV/IT, Security, Facilities, and other business units, to ensure seamless project execution
  • Develop and manage furniture plans, layouts, and selections in alignment with overall design objectives
  • Ensure projects are delivered fully complete and ready for occupancy
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred) from an accredited, not‑for‑profit, in‑person college/university
  • 7+ years of hands‑on experience in corporate design and construction project management
  • A track record of commitment to prior employers
  • Proven track record of independently leading projects from concept through completion with full accountability for outcomes
  • Strong knowledge of lease elements related to work letters, construction processes, and design principles
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, vendors, and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Excellent financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
  • Strong communication, project leadership, and decision‑making skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • AutoCAD and Revu Bluebeam experience preferred
Work Environment & Travel
  • This is a 100% in‑office role; remote work is not available
  • Travel required as needed to support project management, site visits, and progress reviews
  • Required Travel: minimum 30%
