Addison Group is partnering with a well-established professional services organization seeking a Senior Proposal Manager to support strategic growth initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to lead complex proposal efforts, collaborate with executive leadership, and play a key role in securing new business opportunities.

Job Description

The Senior Proposal Manager will own the full proposal lifecycle and oversee the development and delivery of competitive proposals, coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, compliant submissions. This individual will manage multiple pursuits simultaneously while helping drive process improvements and proposal excellence across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the proposal development process from opportunity assessment through final submission.
  • Manage proposal schedules, resources, and deliverables to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Supervise and mentor proposal staff while supporting workload prioritization across active pursuits.
  • Analyze solicitation requirements and develop proposal strategies that align with customer objectives.
  • Facilitate proposal planning meetings, content development sessions, and review cycles.
  • Partner with subject matter experts, business development professionals, operational leaders, and executive stakeholders.
  • Write, edit, and refine proposal content to ensure clarity, consistency, and responsiveness.
  • Develop compliance documentation and oversee adherence to solicitation requirements.
  • Coordinate collection and maintenance of supporting materials, including organizational experience, project summaries, and personnel qualifications.
  • Support proposal process improvements, content management initiatives, and knowledge-sharing efforts.
  • Ensure all proposal submissions meet organizational quality standards and established procedures.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience managing and developing proposals within a government contracting or professional services environment.
  • Prior experience leading proposal teams and coordinating cross-functional contributors.
  • Strong understanding of proposal development best practices and structured review processes.
  • Demonstrated success developing compelling technical, management, and corporate proposal content.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite and proposal development tools.
  • Knowledge of government procurement processes and competitive bidding environments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management capabilities.
