Veritas Collaborative is currently seeking an Outreach Associate in the Richmond area.

Veritas Collaborative is a specialty hospital system for the treatment of eating disorders. Accredited by The Joint Commission, Veritas delivers multidisciplinary, evidence‑based care for patients and their families in a warm, inviting, and gender‑inclusive environment. Located in Durham, NC and Richmond, VA, the organization provides Inpatient, Acute Residential, Partial Hospitalization, and Intensive Outpatient levels of care for individuals with eating‑disorder diagnoses (ages 10+).

Job Description
  • Responsible for provider and referral outreach to create and raise awareness of the treatment programs available at Veritas Collaborative.
  • Build and foster relationships with referral sources, maintaining current relationships and creating new ones.
  • Plan, develop, prepare, and maintain program‑specific communications for targeted audiences to enhance program awareness, impact, and reputation.
  • Educate professionals in the health industry about eating disorders and Veritas Collaborative.
  • Interact with providers via telephone and e‑mail.
  • Work independently and as a participant member of the Outreach team.
  • Collaborate with Outreach to promote and educate referral sources about our program and treatment plans.
  • Work with program management and leadership, including executives, to determine specific communication needs, including message development and delivery methods.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Intake teams to identify outreach needs and develop materials.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3–5 years of progressively responsible experience in mental healthcare, medical sales, or health‑related education/outreach.
  • Extensive exposure in communicating with physicians, therapists, medical professionals, and social workers.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, analytical and problem‑solving, and interpersonal/team skills.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to understand complex clinical information and translate it for multiple audiences.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology related to eating disorders and treatment.
  • Understanding of the operation of behavioral healthcare facilities.
  • Professionalism, tact, diplomacy, and discretion with confidential information.
  • Self‑starter, highly organized, efficient, and professional in communication.
  • Team player, self‑motivated, and able to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Experience in CRM utilization, preferably Salesforce.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% of the time within and outside the region.
  • Knowledgeable in social media and event planning.
  • Other duties as assigned.
