Kelly® is looking for a Sample Handler to work at a premier laboratory organization in Richmond, VA. Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $18.50 per hour. Shift: 1st.

- Performing a variety of sample and standard handling tasks such as receipt, check‑in, labeling, launching, inventory, transport, and check‑out.
- Managing the physical return and disposal of laboratory materials as needed.
- Communicating sample and standard status to laboratory staff and advising on proper procedures.
- Completing investigation and deviation forms, and determining appropriate corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
- Reviewing laboratory requests for SOP compliance and providing feedback.
- Training on SOPs, regulatory guidelines, and storage requirements.
- Responding to environmental unit alarms and participating in on‑call responsibilities.
- Ensuring all assignments are completed accurately, timely, and safely.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent, with formal academic or vocational qualifications preferred.
- Bring at least 2 years of experience in a laboratory, inventory control, or similar regulated setting (or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience).
- Possess basic knowledge of inventory flow, laboratory documentation, and sample storage requirements.
- Are proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
- Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills, effective time and project management, and the ability to solve problems independently.
- Thrive in a collaborative team environment and are able to work first shift hours, including on‑call as required.
