Amentum is seeking a well connected, strategic growth leader to help expand their presence across the U.S. Air Force. This is a highly visible opportunity to leverage established relationships, influence growth strategy, and create new opportunities supporting some of the Air Force's most critical missions. The ideal candidate brings deep Air Force experience, a strong network across acquisition and program communities, and a proven ability to open doors, shape opportunities, and position organizations for long term success.
We are looking for someone who understands where decisions are made, how priorities are established, and how to engage customers early to drive meaningful growth.
Location:
Remote, with a strong preference for candidates located in or closely connected to the Albuquerque area.
- Well connected strategic growth leader with strong relationships across the U.S. Air Force
- Demonstrated success developing and shaping opportunities before formal solicitations are released
- Deep understanding of Air Force acquisition, budgeting, and mission priorities
- Experience building trusted relationships with senior government and industry stakeholders
- Ability to influence strategy and identify where an organization should invest for future growth
- We are particularly interested in candidates with strong connections in the Albuquerque, New Mexico market.
- Experience supporting the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center and the Air Force Research Laboratory is highly desirable.
- Candidates with infrastructure, engineering, facilities, modernization, research, or mission support experience within these organizations will stand out. Current relationships and recent engagement across these communities are strongly preferred.
- Lead Air Force growth initiatives for a global leader supporting national security missions
- Partner directly with senior executives to shape strategy and priorities
- Make an immediate impact across a broad portfolio of capabilities and programs
- Enjoy the autonomy, visibility, and influence that comes with a high profile growth leadership role
- 12+ years of USAF, USSF, or DoD Acquisition and or Program Management experience, with at least 5 of those years in support of USAF Programs
- Extensive experience with DoD & IC government organizations
- Demonstrated ability to execute the business development function with little/no supervision
- Ability to assess the competitive field, to include all evaluation factors, both price and non-price
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience is required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance
- Active Secret US Government Clearance
- Master’s degree
- DAWIA Program Manager Certification
$150,000-$200,000
