ERM Change Manager at Capital One. Richmond, VA. The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Team helps the organization identify, manage, and mitigate key risks that may impede the company from achieving its strategic objectives. The ERM Change Manager supports the implementation of projects for a diverse set of initiatives, across a broad range of complexity and scale. In this role you will drive change management efforts for the ERM strategic initiative “Future of Assessments”, applying expertise, organization, and influence to engage stakeholders and influence outcomes.
Responsibilities- Build and execute strategic change management plans, including executive-level communications (written and verbal) and associate experiences.
- Write, proofread, and edit communications needed to support strategic plans.
- Leverage communication channels such as email, Slack, newsletters, Pulse pages, etc.
- Work effectively in cross‑functional teams to advance the team and leadership’s change strategy and implement creative solutions to reach key target audiences.
- Develop initial training materials to support change initiatives and monitor ongoing training.
- Support monitoring of testing plans, change management plans, and execution of the product warranty period to ensure a seamless transition to business-as-usual.
- Experience developing and executing successful change strategies, including executive-level leader communications support and associate experiences.
- Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to present complex subject matter in a clear, concise, and compelling manner.
- Expertise in relationship building with proven ability to work effectively with multiple constituents, including peers, executive leaders, and senior management.
- Self‑motivated with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize.
- Strong presentation skills and engaging professional presence.
- Easily adapts to change and takes on a growth‑mindset approach.
- Bachelor’s degree or military experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in corporate communications, multi‑channel marketing, internal business communications, or leading organizational change and communication projects.
- At least 5 years of experience in planning, execution, and analysis of communication programs.
- Master’s in Marketing, Communications, or Business Administration.
- 9+ years of experience in corporate communications, internal business communications, or leading large‑scale organizational change and communication projects.
- 4+ years of experience working with a technology‑oriented company.
- 2+ years of experience in an environment that leverages Agile principles to organize and drive work.
- Prior experience in financial services.
- Change management certifications such as PROSCI or CCMP.
- Strong collaboration, interpersonal, and coaching skills.
- Strong judgment, influence, leadership, and integrity.
Richmond, VA: $132,800 – $151,600 for Manager, Project Management. Candidates hired in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location. This role is eligible to earn performance‑based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long‑term incentives (LTI).
