Purchasing Agent - Southwest VA

D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Purchasing Agent for their Purchasing Department. The right candidate will bid on new projects, maintain scopes of work, track blueprints and design changes, and support overall project cost control.

• Solicit bids
• Pre‑qualify subcontractors
• Set up and monitor option costs and sales prices
• Maintain and update current budgets
• Distribute revised bids and obtain approval for any price increases
• Prepare direct‑cost analysis and variances for review
• Input original direct‑cost budget
• Execute lot starts and finalize proof of all unit costs

Education and/or

Experience:

• Bachelor's degree from a four‑year college or university; or
• One to two years of related experience and/or training; or
• Equivalent combination of education and experience

Salary Range: $50,000 – $80,000, with additional bonus potential based on experience and qualifications.
