Overview

We are looking for a highly organised and detail‑oriented Buyer Operations Manager to support the successful delivery of RX Global Travel events, including IBTM, ILTM, WTM and ATM.

This is a varied dual‑role position combining buyer recruitment and relationship management with digital platform and event systems coordination.

Responsibilities
  • Identify, recruit, manage and host buyers while overseeing the set‑up and configuration of event management systems, web CMS, mobile apps, registration forms and attendee portals across the full event lifecycle.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, buyers and partners to ensure systems run smoothly and every touchpoint delivers a seamless, reliable and engaging experience.
  • Manage and configure SaaS (Hosted Buyer) platforms to support event delivery requirements.
  • Coordinate platform setup, registration processes and system delivery across event life cycles.
  • Act as a central liaison to align stakeholders on requirements, timelines and progress.
  • Support system integrations, testing (UAT) and continuous platform improvements.
  • Identify, log and escalate system issues, collaborating with development teams on solutions.
  • Deliver clear and consistent reporting to support decision‑making and performance tracking.
  • Contribute to buyer recruitment strategies, building strong industry relationships and pipelines.
  • Manage buyer communications, database activity and event admin to ensure a smooth customer experience.
Candidate Profile

Do you enjoy working with data, systems and stakeholders to create positive customer outcomes? Are you motivated by delivering seamless digital experiences that support world‑class events? This opportunity would suit someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, is confident working across multiple projects at once, picks up new systems quickly, and enjoys balancing operational delivery with stakeholder and customer engagement.

  • Customer‑focused mindset with a commitment to delivering a positive experience.
  • Experience using data, systems or CRM/database platforms (e.g. Excel, Smartsheet or similar).
  • Ability to analyse information and use data to support decision‑making.
  • Desirable to have Events Air experience.
  • Relevant experience in events, recruitment, operations or digital systems (degree or equivalent experience welcomed).
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with a collaborative approach.
  • Comfortable working with digital platforms, systems or process improvements.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
  • Proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
