Duties
  • Provide expert technical advice on the full range of fleet management and broad Maintenance Control Center (MCC) integrated services and contracting issues to team members; disseminates and communicates to the team the assignment, project, problem to be solved, actionable events, milestones, and/or program issues under review, and the deadlines and time frames established for completion.
  • Assist with the front-line monitoring of the overall efficiency of the national vehicle maintenance program, with a special emphasis on controlling costs and quality of repairs. Collect and analyze data compiled from computer-generated reports to track trends that affect efficiency and/or productivity of the vehicle maintenance programs. Formulate recommendations and suggestions to improve nationwide maintenance policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate vehicle maintenance and repair as part of the National MCC serving all GSA Fleet customers and vendors through the use of phone systems and electronic requests for authorization for the majority of contacts. Make a variety of technical and analytical determinations regarding the nature of the repair, costs associated with or projected for the repair, cost replacement for parts and similar decisions.

    Resolve problems or issues related to vehicle maintenance, and the National MCC with customers, Fleet Management Centers and vendors.
  • Perform follow‑up on effect of policy and procedure changes. Review and evaluate vehicle quality deficiency reports, service bulletins and vehicle manufacturer service recommendations, in addition to any other pertinent sources of information. Submit a written analysis with supporting data to the center supervisor, along with recommendations concerning appropriate action.
  • Represent the team consensus and convey the team’s findings and recommendations in meetings and dealings with other team leaders, program officials, the public and other customers on issues related to or that have an impact on the team’s objectives, work products and/or tasks. Provide reference materials and background information to team members, and pass along relevant policies, procedures and written instructions from the supervisor.

  • Meet all eligibility criteria within 30 days of the closing date
