Corporate Engineering Operations Team Member
This position reports to the Manager, Corporate Engineering - Operations and is a key member of the Corporate Engineering team responsible for collaborating with various departments and service centers to develop, document and maintain process documentation.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain formal documentation for operational processes by collaborating with various departments and Service Centers.
- Identify inefficiencies and areas of rework or waste to recommend and implement process improvements to support cost control.
- Ensure processes have consistent practices for proper alignment between operations and other departments.
- Provide standardized materials to improve the onboarding process for new employees and improved guidance for existing employees.
- Contribute to improved data integrity through better planning and execution practices
- Maintain a central repository for operational processes to be stored and accessed by users across the company.
- Regular attendance is required.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or General Educational Degree (GED), or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Bachelor Degree preferred
- 3 years of experience and knowledge of service center operations required
- Thorough understanding of the LTL trucking industry required
- Excellent written, verbal, listening and presentation communication skills required
- Strong attention to detail, customer focus and quality orientation required
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and collaboration skills required.
- Willingness to travel 50% and work any shift including nights and/or weekends and in any weather condition required
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and understand implications in operations' business processes highly preferred
- Skilled in presenting/facilitating a wide variety of training to diverse audiences. Able to motivate, communicate and instruct/train others, using both technical and non-technical language to explain complex subjects and processes highly preferred
- Experience project management experience highly preferred
- Strong technical proficiency to include Microsoft Office suite and knowledge of AS400 highly preferred
- Must be able to lift approximately 20 lbs., or more if required by the essential functions of the job
- Must be able to comply with all company policies, rules, procedures and Code of Conduct
- Must be able to interact well with others
- Must be able to work independently, or in a team setting
- Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high volume environment with multiple priorities
- Responds well to questions;
Ability to read, interpret and comply with written information and documents such as safety rules, operations / procedure manuals and maintenance instructions with a high comprehension and concentration level to include the ability to meet deadlines - Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, random drug and/or alcohol tests, and will be subject to a criminal history background check
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
