1 Resource Group is actively seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Parts Coordinator to make a difference in the Richmond, VA area. If you have a background in heavy equipment parts service and sales, this is the perfect opportunity for you to contribute to a team that values excellent customer service and support.
Your Responsibilities- Ensure our inventory of machine parts is always up to date by maintaining adequate stock levels and reordering as needed.
- Create and manage a comprehensive research cross-reference file to help accurately identify parts, and collaborate with our Research Analyst at headquarters to obtain pricing for special parts and assemblies.
- Provide customers with parts inventory recommendations and empower them by training them on how to effectively use parts catalogs and PSO cards.
- Maintain meticulous records of all parts assigned to field service mechanics, ensuring that any unused parts from jobs are promptly returned to inventory.
- Expediate daily parts shipments and prioritize the delivery of emergency or back-order items, demonstrating our commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Keep our services accessible by maintaining a contact number in the local directory for after-hours customer inquiries.
- Handle warranty claims efficiently, ensuring a smooth process from start to finish.
- Support the supervisor in safely storing and disposing of EPA-controlled waste, reinforcing our commitment to environmental responsibility.
- Lead monthly 5S and safety audits, taking charge of ensuring that all corrective actions are completed effectively.
- Step up as the acting supervisor of the service center when the Service Center Manager is away.
- Exceptional telephone communication skills that enhance our customer interactions.
- Physical capability to lift, stoop, and bend as needed in this active role.
- Proficiency in operating equipment, such as forklifts, enhancing operational efficiency.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record, ensuring eligibility for the company’s auto insurance policy.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Proven experience in the parts/service industry, with a strong focus on coordinating service efforts between technicians and parts personnel.
- Previous customer service experience is highly valued.
