The Position:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Account Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in benefits consulting for large employers and will serve as a trusted advisor, providing strategic guidance and ensuring a seamless client experience. This role requires a proactive and solutions-oriented professional who is committed to excellence and dedicated to meeting client needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Benefits Consulting: Provide expert guidance and advice on employee benefits market trends, strategies, plan design, and technology integrations to maximize value for both clients and their employees. Lead strategic discussions with HR and benefits leaders to bring innovative solutions that align with their goals.
  • RFP Management: Lead the Carrier Request for Proposal (RFP) process from start to finish. Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements, develop comprehensive RFPs, evaluate vendor proposals, and negotiate best-in-class plan designs, rates and integrations that drive value to the employee.
  • Manage Carrier Partnerships: Foster strong, collaborative relationships with insurance carriers to ensure the delivery of high-quality benefits programs to our clients. This includes negotiating policy and plan terms, ensuring our clients receive competitive pricing, comprehensive coverage options, and exceptional service. Continuous evaluation and engagement with carriers are crucial to adapt to changing market conditions and meet the evolving needs of our clients.
  • Implementation Management: Collaborate with the project management team on the implementation of benefits programs, ensuring seamless and timely execution aligned with client objectives.
  • Internal

    Collaboration:

    Work closely with internal teams, including Operations, Product, Billing, IT, and Marketing to deliver integrated solutions and exceptional service to clients. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration to meet client needs.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze client data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Prepare and present detailed reports to clients, providing insights and recommendations to optimize their benefits programs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field;
    An advanced degree, professional certifications, and/or relevant licensing are preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in benefits consulting, account management, or a related role, with a focus on large employers.
  • Demonstrate expertise in managing RFP processes, benefits program implementation, and client relationship management.
  • Strong understanding of employee benefits, including health and welfare plans and voluntary benefits.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and an understanding of benefits administration software.
  • Candidates should be flexible, detail-oriented, creative problem solvers, and work well in a team environment.
