POSITION DESCRIPTION
Make your summer brilliant by applying to be a Camp Counselor herine's Brilliant Summer Camp! We offer a variety of fun and innovative camps for boys and girls age 4 to grade 12. Special interest camps cover everything under the summer sun, including arts, athletics, academics, STEM and so much more! Come be a part of the fun!
POSITION OVERVIEWAssist in the care, safety, and well-being of Brilliant Summer day campers. Availability to work at Brilliant Summer day camp and/or enrichment camps (rising JK-grade
6). Opportunity also available to help set up for camp the week of June 8, 2026.

Position Status: Hourly, nonexempt, seasonal
Hours of Work: Monday-Friday June 15-July 24, 2026
Scheduling options
: 8:30am-1:00pm, 11:30am-4:00pm or 8:30-4:00pm.
If working half days, there may be an opportunity to work either morning or afternoon extended day hours: 7:30-8:30am or 4:00-5:00pm.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIESBrilliant Camp Counselors are responsible for assisting the Lead Instructor in leading activities such as arts, crafts, games, outdoor play, and swimming during the day camp session. Counselors serve as role models and are responsible for setting a positive example.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Interact with campers to provide a fun, caring, supportive camp environment.
- Supervise campers during meals.
- Greet and interact with parents during drop off and pick up.
- Help escort campers to activities
- Assist with set up and clean up activities
- Assist with attendance
- Follow safety guidelines.
- Attend Brilliant Summer staff orientation
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to manipulate, handle and feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl; talk and hear; engage in moderately strenuous physical activity both indoors and out; and smell. The employee may occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Travel is not a requirement for this role.
