Position Requirements
This role demands a highly experienced person, exceptional in team development and strong leadership, extremely detail‑oriented, and seasoned in residential construction. The candidate must understand the importance of completing projects rapidly, closing projects efficiently, and managing project and inventory control.
The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for managing kitchen and bath remodeling projects from proposal confirmation through to final closeout. The PM ensures smooth transition from sales to production, stays on schedule, maintains budget, and meets or exceeds quality standards. The PM coordinates closely with Design Consultants (DC), Field Supervisors (FS), Installers, and Operations to deliver an exceptional client experience.
Core Responsibilities- Project Initiation: receive sold proposal confirmation from the Design Consultant, review proposal for completeness and accuracy, confirm all client material choices, and communicate with DC to resolve missing selections.
- Measurement Preparation: schedule measurement consultation with DC and FS, conduct a Project Review Meeting to review scope, drawings, material selections, and constraints.
- Post‑Measurement & Scope Development: receive measurement drawings from FS, build Scope of Work (SOW) in Buildertrend, and create a Material Order List based on measurements and client selections.
- Ordering & Documentation: place material orders with approved suppliers, file order confirmations and invoices in Buildertrend, update delivery estimates, build Ordered PCA with Ops Assistant, and create & distribute a Gantt Chart showing the estimated timeline and start date.
- Order Tracking & Preparation: track all orders, update delivery dates, maintain Buildertrend updates with Ops Assistant support, label and stage materials for installers, and confirm receipt before awarding the project.
- Installation Scheduling: award SOW to installer, confirm labor cost, schedule Pre‑Construction Walk with client, FS, and installer, provide FS with drawings and SOW, and confirm start date with installer and client.
- Construction Management: coordinate material handoffs after demo, schedule templating and installation for third‑party vendors, manage daily Buildertrend logs, photos, and milestone tracking, address issues quickly, and negotiate change order costs with installers as approved by the client.
- Project Closeout: receive installer invoice, submit to finance for payment approval, build Finished PCA with Ops Assistant, confirm installer payment issuance, and close the project in Buildertrend.
- Buildertrend – project documentation, orders, logs, photos, timelines.
- Gantt Chart – client‑facing project timeline.
- Proposal & SOW – base scope and cost control documents.
- PCA (Pre‑Construction Agreement) – ordered and finished versions for tracking.
- 3+ years of project management experience in remodeling, construction, or related industries.
- Proficient in project management software (Buildertrend preferred).
- Strong organizational, scheduling, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of construction processes, materials, and quality standards.
- Ability to build rapport with clients, trade partners, and internal team members.
- Maintain 95%+ on‑time project start rate.
- Deliver projects within budget and agreed timelines.
- Achieve 4.8+ star client satisfaction ratings.
Compensation: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
