My client is an employee owned general contractor with multiple offices across the US. They are a stable award winning contractor with a strong reputation in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia region.
Job Description
- Manage all aspects of the construction project, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
- Oversee the work of all subcontractors and trades, ensuring that they adhere to project specifications and quality standards.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring that all work is completed on time and within budget.
- Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure that project goals are achieved.
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that all project requirements are met.
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure that all work is being performed to the highest quality standards and in compliance with all safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate and complete project records, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders.
- Ensure that all project close-out activities are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Foster a culture of safety on the job site, ensuring that all workers adhere to safety regulations and policies.
The Successful Applicant
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction, with a focus on large new construction projects valued at over 30 million, preferably with wood-frame structures.
- Experience with multifamily, senior living, and commercial projects is highly preferred.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, procedures, and best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction management software.
- OSHA 30 certification is required.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field is preferred.
