Safety Manager
Richmond-based road construction company is seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Manager to support and enhance our company-wide safety program. This role works closely with the Safety Director and leadership team to ensure compliance with safety regulations while promoting a strong culture of safety across all operations.
This is a hands‑on position involving fieldwork, training, inspections and collaboration with teams across job sites, asphalt plants, shops and corporate offices.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and maintain safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA, DOT, MSHA, EPA
- Conduct jobsite inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Lead incident investigations and recommend preventive actions
- Develop and deliver safety training programs
- Monitor employee behavior and coach on safe practices
- Maintain safety records and documentation
- Support environmental compliance efforts
- Provide safety guidance to field crews and staff
- Collaborate with claims managers and legal teams
- Promote safety awareness and continuous improvement
- 2+ years experience in construction, fleet or safety-related role
- Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, EPA regulations
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Certifications (CHST, ASP, CSP) preferred
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record

From $80,000.00 per year
