The Director of Preconstruction at W.H. Stovall & Co., Inc. is a full-time, on-site role located in Ashland, Va. This individual will oversee the preconstruction phase, managing project estimator team, budget estimation, and proposal development while coordinating closely with project stakeholders. Key responsibilities include overseeing the implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) for projects, analyzing costs, and ensuring alignment with project goals.
The Director will lead a team, ensuring consistency and efficiency in preconstruction processes, and support project planning and execution to meet client expectations.
- Proficiency in Design Management, including the ability to interpret drawings and make effective design recommendations.
- Strong skills in Budgeting and Proposal Writing to accurately estimate costs and create compelling project bids.
- Expertise in Project Management to oversee preconstruction activities and coordinate with project teams effectively.
- Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) to enhance project planning and execution.
- Leadership and organizational skills to manage preconstruction processes and teams effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Relevant industry certifications such as PMP, LEED AP, or CM-BIM are advantageous.
