Commercial Electrical Estimator

Davis & Green is seeking an experienced Commercial Electrical Estimator to join our growing team. This position is ideal for a motivated estimator who is ready to take ownership of projects, work closely with operations, and play a key role in helping us secure profitable commercial electrical work.

We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of commercial electrical construction who can develop accurate estimates, manage multiple bids, and contribute to the continued success of our company.

• Prepare detailed estimates and competitive bids for commercial electrical projects
• Utilize estimating software to perform takeoffs and develop project pricing
• Complete manual takeoffs and conceptual estimates when required
• Review plans, specifications, and addenda to determine project scope and identify potential risks
• Solicit, evaluate, and compare vendor and subcontractor pricing
• Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and scope reviews as needed
• Collaborate with project managers during project turnover and startup
• Maintain bid documentation, tracking logs, and historical cost data
• Assist with budgeting and preliminary pricing for negotiated projects

• 3–7+ years of commercial electrical estimating experience
• Proficiency with electrical estimating software
• Strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems, materials, and labor productivity
• Ability to perform manual takeoffs and conceptual pricing
• Project management experience is a plus
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• Competitive salary: $85,000–$90,000 annually (based on experience)
