What You’ll Do Lead Construction Projects- Manage residential home construction from site preparation through completion.
- Coordinate schedules, subcontractors, inspections, materials, and daily work plans.
- Maintain quality, craftsmanship, and project timelines.
- Welcome and engage volunteers while creating a safe and rewarding experience.
- Conduct daily safety orientations and toolbox talks.
- Teach construction skills and connect volunteers to Habitat’s mission.
- Promote a culture of safety on every job site.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and Habitat safety practices.
- Address hazards proactively and maintain required documentation.
- Work closely with project managers, subcontractors, Ameri Corps members, interns, and community partners.
- Mentor others while modeling Richmond Habitat’s values of Equity, Integrity, Partnership, Legacy, and Fun.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Three (3) or more years of residential construction experience.
- Hands‑on carpentry skills including framing, doors, windows, siding, drywall, flooring, trim, and finish work.
- Experience managing residential construction projects.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and safely work on ladders, scaffolding, and roofs.
- Experience leading crews or volunteers.
- Construction management coursework or related education.
- Experience working in a nonprofit or volunteer‑driven environment.
- Competitive salary ($60,000–$69,000)
