General Foreman

The General Foreman at R B Hinkle Construction Inc. will oversee and coordinate daily construction activities on projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to high quality standards.

Supervise, direct, and motivate a team of craft workers and laborers on site.

Plan and organize daily work schedules, including personnel, equipment, and material requirements.

Interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documents to ensure accurate execution of work.

Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to maintain schedule and budget.

Enforce strict adherence to all company and OSHA safety regulations and procedures.

Conduct regular safety meetings and toolbox talks with the crew.

Oversee equipment operation and maintenance, ensuring proper usage and care.

Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and other trades to ensure seamless project flow.

Perform quality control inspections to ensure work meets R B Hinkle Construction Inc. standards.

Train and mentor less experienced crew members.

Maintain accurate daily reports, logs, and other required documentation.

Communicate effectively with all project stakeholders.

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in construction, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or foreman role.

Proven ability to read and interpret construction blueprints, specifications, and schematics.

Strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and procedures across various trades.

In-depth understanding of OSHA safety regulations and best practices.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.

Proficient in basic math calculations relevant to construction.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Ability to work in various weather conditions and lift heavy objects as required.

OSHA 30 certification preferred.

R.B. Hinkle is an underground and overhead utility contractor, specializing in the installation of conduit, manholes and streetlights through trenching, directional, drilling and moling.
