W.M. Schlosser Company, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Construction Project Manager to support construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role works closely with the Project Manager, Superintendent, owners, designers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal departments to help ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, within budget, and in accordance with contract requirements. Key responsibilities include coordinating documentation, schedules, budgets, procurement, contract administration, safety, quality, and closeout activities.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Support the project team in all activities related to contract administration, from planning and procurement through closeout.
- Assist with project schedules, schedules of values, budgets, milestone tracking, look-ahead planning, logistics, resource planning, and meeting follow-up;
Primavera P6 experience is preferred. - Maintain project information, drawings, specifications, reports, forms, logs, correspondence, meeting records, and other documentation in Procore.
- Track RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, samples, product data, field changes, change orders, pay applications, purchase and delivery schedules, and approvals.
- Support procurement, buyout, scope reviews, bid analysis, purchase orders, subcontract agreements, subcontractor and vendor requisition reviews, material tracking, and deliveries.
- Assist with budgets, cost tracking, estimates-to-complete, invoice reviews, change proposals, and change orders.
- Communicate professionally with project teams, owners, designers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Support safety and quality control, site logistics, punch lists, closeout documents, warranties, manuals, turnover materials, and signoffs.
- Minimum of 5 years of construction industry experience; exposure to project management, field operations, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, subcontracting, or office engineering preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field preferred; equivalent construction field experience considered.
- Working knowledge of construction project management processes.
- Strong communication, organization, time management, analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook;
Procore and Primavera P6 experience preferred. - OSHA 30, CPR/First Aid/AED, COE QCM, Confined Space, Fall Protection, Haz Com, Ladder Safety, or related training preferred.
