This position is in-person at our Chester, VA campus.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities End-to-End Project Management:
Oversee all phases of data center and commercial construction projects, from planning and design through execution, commissioning, and turnover.
Vendor & Contractor Oversight:
Manage relationships with general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely delivery and adherence to contract terms.
Document Control & Change Management:
Maintain accurate project documentation, manage RFIs, submittals, and ensure effective tracking of changes, scope adjustments, and approvals.
Budget & Schedule Management:
Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and cost reports, ensuring financial discipline and alignment with business objectives.
Risk Management & Compliance:
Anticipate risks and implement mitigation strategies; ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and industry regulations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with engineering, operations, finance, and executive leadership to ensure projects align with company strategy and client needs.
Client & Stakeholder Communication:
Act as primary point of contact for project status, progress updates, and critical issue resolution.
Quality Assurance:
Monitor construction activities to ensure quality standards are met and projects are delivered to client and company expectations.
Required Experience7+ years of project management experience, with at least 3+ years in commercial construction and/or data center projects.
Strong expertise in document control systems, change order processes, and construction project management tools
Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale, complex builds with multiple stakeholders.
Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment with competing priorities.
Willingness to travel to active project sites across the U.S. as needed.
Education Bachelor’s degree required in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Project Management preferred but not required.
Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), CCM (Certified Construction Manager), or LEED Accreditation are highly valued.
