Overview

The Heavy Equipment Operator is a full-time, on-site position supporting site development and heavy civil construction projects throughout the Greater Richmond region. This role operates a variety of heavy equipment—including excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, skid steers, haul trucks, and rollers, to name a few—to perform excavation, grading, site preparation, compaction, material handling, and other construction activities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on equipment operating experience, strong safety awareness, and the ability to work productively as part of a field crew.

Responsibilities include conducting daily equipment inspections, operating machinery according to plans and specifications, performing basic equipment upkeep, maintaining a safe work environment, and assisting with general field activities as needed. Candidates must be dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment.
