Position SummaryHarlan Construction is seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager to oversee construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordination, budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor management, client relations, and overall project success.
The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple projects while maintaining Harlan’s commitment to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
- Manage all phases of commercial and industrial construction projects.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel.
- Review project plans, specifications, contracts, and submittals.
- Monitor project costs and profitability.
- Prepare and process RFIs, change orders, purchase orders, and pay applications.
- Conduct project meetings with clients, subcontractors, and project teams.
- Ensure compliance with company safety requirements and project-specific safety plans.
- Identify and resolve project issues to maintain schedules and budgets.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Manage project closeout, including punch lists, warranties, and final documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in commercial or industrial construction.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of project scheduling and cost control practices.
- Experience managing subcontractors and self-performed work.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
- Experience with industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, utility work, or heavy commercial projects.
- OSHA 30 certification.
- Experience with Procore, Viewpoint, Sage, or similar construction management software.
