Operations Safety Technician

Full job description

Overview we are seeking a bilingual Operations Safety Technician to support our operations. This role is vital in ensuring compliance with safety regulations, conducting training, and fostering a culture of safety throughout our team.

Develop site specific safety documents and plans. Function as the Safety Professional monitoring employees and contractors, to ensure all Life Critical Rules are followed. Confirm and track all daily startup documents to ensure they are being completed accurately and equipment that is out of compliance is being locked out until repaired. Hold daily site inspections, checking for hazards in tools, machinery, and other site equipment.

Prepare and submit weekly safety reports documenting site conditions, updated safety plans, and any worker concerns. Report all safety incidents and update mitigation plans as needed. Ensure all safety KPIs are positive, and all actions are closed as scheduled. Conduct daily safety inspections and write comprehensive reports on safety incidents and updates to risk mitigation plans. Collaborate with the corporate EHS staff to ensure all environmental requirements are followed and reported.

• One to three
  -year minimum experience in a safety related position
• Bi-Lingual Spanish/English
• OSHA 30 Required
• Good organizational skills and leadership ability
• Proficient in using computer software applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
• Experience in SAP and Power Bi is a plus
• Excellent people skills
• Some travel required
