OSP Technician/Laborer

A growing telecommunications and utility construction company is hiring an OSP Technician/Laborer for a field-based opportunity in Richmond, VA 23222. This is a full-time position supporting outside plant (OSP) telecommunications construction projects, with hands-on work involving underground pipe and conduit installation.

We’re looking for dependable, hardworking individuals who are comfortable working outdoors, working as part of a crew, and taking direction from a Supervisor. Previous underground telecom experience is preferred, but this role is also a strong opportunity for someone with a solid work ethic who wants to learn the trade and grow their skills.

• Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
• Ability to perform physical labor and work as part of a construction crew
• Ability to follow directions from a Supervisor
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to safely perform assigned job duties
• Ability to work effectively with team members

• Previous underground telecommunications experience
• Experience with underground construction
• Experience placing pipe or conduit
• OSP or utility construction experience
• Previous experience working around construction equipment and tools

• Assist with all aspects of the project as directed by the Supervisor
• Assist team members with placing underground pipes and conduits
• Support the crew with general construction and labor activities
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment
• Follow all company and job-site safety requirements
• Assist with additional project tasks as needed
