Richmond, VA (Hybrid - both remote and in-person) Part-Time Contractor | $30–40/hr Filmspire is hiring a Creative Producer. Not an assistant. Not someone who waits to be told what to do. We’re looking for someone who wants to own the narrative direction and project leadership of meaningful storytelling work — someone who can lead interviews, shape story arcs, manage timelines, and confidently guide clients from kickoff to delivery.

We are looking for someone with a GREAT personality: warm, engaging, great energy, makes clients feel like a million bucks. 60-70% Project Manager 30-40% Creative.
NOT a camera operator or video editor. At Filmspire, we help essential service and infrastructure-driven organizations tell impactful, authentic stories. We don’t create surface-level corporate content. We pursue impact, beauty, and soul. Here is a short video from our CEO about the role:  What You’ll Build You won’t just “manage projects.” You will:

  • Lead pre-production planning and narrative development
  • Write interview questions that uncover real human stories
  • Develop storyboards and write interview questions shape thematic direction
  • Conduct interviews on set and protect narrative clarity
  • Collaborate closely with our Filmmaker on visual execution
  • Oversee post-production narrative feedback
  • Select music intentionally to elevate emotional depth
  • Manage client communication and project timelines
  • Ensure deliverables are published and completed on schedule
On set, you lead story. Our Filmmaker leads production execution. Together, you ensure both narrative depth and visual excellence. You will help elevate real companies doing real work that sustains our communities. You will help tell stories that matter. What Success Looks Like Within 90 days:
  • You independently lead project flow from kickoff to delivery
  • You shape story direction confidently
  • You protect emotional depth during interviews
  • You move timelines forward without reminders
  • Clients feel supported and clear
  • The Founder is freed to focus on scaling the agency
If by Day 60 we still feel like we’re the ones pushing projects forward, something is wrong. Ownership is non-negotiable. Who This Is For You likely have:
  • 3–6+ years in video production or agency environments
  • Experience in conducting interviews on shoots
  • Experience managing client-facing creative projects
  • Strong creative instincts (storyboarding, creating mood boards, writing interview questions)
  • Strong written communication
  • Confidence in front of clients

Compensation
  • $30–40/hour, depending on experience and demonstrated ownership
  • 15–25 hours per week to start
  • Contractor role with growth opportunity as Filmspire scales
Candidates who demonstrate strong independent project leadership during the evaluation process will be considered at the top of the compensation range. How We Hire Our process includes:
