Piano Accompanist, Gayton

Gayton Baptist Church, Richmond, VA

Hours:

6hours/week

Compensation:
Starting at $20/hr, commensurate with experience

• Provide keyboard accompaniment (piano) for the worship band and choir for weekly rehearsals and Sunday worship services
• Accompanying music groups for special services (e.g., Christmas Eve, Easter, etc.)
• Collaborating with the Worship Leaderand worship team to coordinate worship elements
• Being prepared to play a variety of musical styles, including traditional hymns, anthems, and contemporary worship songs
• Availability to play for weddings and funerals, at your discretion, with additional compensation provided

• Proficiency on piano
• Strong sight-reading skills and experience accompanying choirs and congregational singing
• Familiarity with various church music styles (traditional and contemporary)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with staff, volunteers, and the congregation
• A positive and encouraging team player who can help foster a harmonious musical environment
• A commitment to the vision and spiritual life of the congregation
